THE FIRST TABLET

Before the index, there was a frog.

In an age when emperors counted their riches in amphorae, the markets had no charts. Only omens, gossip, and a very impatient frog.

Pepe found a coin in the dust. Sister looked at it and declared that it needed two faces. The two visited a mint and made the least necessary currency in all of antiquity.

They called it Sister $ Pepe 500. No oracle could explain the number. Nobody asked twice.

β€œTHE MARKET HAS NUMBERS. WE HAVE MYTHOLOGY.”
